Correspondence with Isolde Radzinowicz, 2000-2004.

Oliver Hilmes corresponded with Lady Isolde Radzinowicz, the widow of Adolf Klarmann, in connection with research for his biography of Alma Mahler, Witwe im Wahn (2004). Several letters in fall 2002 to early summer 2003 concern a trip he made to the United States, during which he and Lady Radzinowicz met in person in Philadelphia. Included is a 16-page essay by Albrecht Joseph which Hilmes sent to Isolde Radzinowicz; the essay appears to be a German-language version of the first 12 pages of an English-language essay which Joseph submitted for publication to the The New Yorker in 1977. The pages appear to be a newly made transcription; however, Hilmes does not state his source. For Joseph's English-language essay of 1977, see under correspondent: Joseph, Albrecht, 1901-1991.
